SXSW 2010 Music Call Sheet

Austin's South by Southwest is rapidly approaching (Mar. 12th-21st). I am making a vow to not do what I did last year, which was not go to a single event and sit in the corner and pout and mumble about how much I hate a festival that I've never even gone to.
There was really no call for it.
I was just bitter that I had to work the entire week and it would take me three times as long to drive anywhere. GO BACK TO L.A!

This year I will see shows if it kills me (fast forward to me sitting home alone on the couch with a tub of peanut butter).

Here is a list of some of the music acts this year. I'm still learning the list myself so there will be more to come.

I totally read one band name as "Bastard CHILI Death Cult," which I think is even awesomer than the name they have. Mmmm, chili.

i'm so pumped for this year, esp. for neon indian, deer tick, and crystal method! I'm not ok with prices for a pass, since I dont know when I'll be able to come, but if you hear about any of the shows, ie how to get in without buying the 48573958743 dollar pass, let me know!

I'm really excited this year, as all my volunteer hours are before the music portion. Thanks for all the great suggestions!

i saw the brunettes at my second SXSW in 2005 and it was the best time, i think i saw them a second time sometime recently and it was a letdown :(

Not going, not even gona be in town this year for SXSW. Kinda sad but OK w/ it. IT's def an experience to have at least once..you just gotta do it right and plan it right.

My recommendations:
Oh Mercy
Magic Wands (black magic was my song of the year)
WASHINGTON
Whitley

and i just realized..most of my suggestions are Australia haha..
